Cheddar launches Cheddar Big News

Business news network Cheddar began Tuesday broadcasting Cheddar Big News, its general news network focused on headlines and top stories.

It premiered on YouTube TV with planned launches on Sling TV and Philo in this second quarter of 2018.

Cheddar Big News will include the latest trends and updates in politics, entertainment, travel, food, health, science, sports, and weather live from Cheddar’s studios in New York and Los Angeles with an emphasis on nothing-but-the-facts reporting.

“We cover the big political stories of the day but don’t torture viewers with circular panels of supposed ‘expert political analysts’,” said Jon Steinberg, founder and CEO of Cheddar, in a statement. “We move on to ‘moose on the loose’, human interest stories, weather, science, sports, and the topics of the day.

“It’s apolitical. It’s the cable news product that young people want. We now have the full suite news offering with a news network and a business news network.”
