Charter, a new operation covering the workplace, has hired Cari Nazeer to be its managing editor.
She will start next week and focus on digging into how to make the future of work better and more equitable.
Nazeer has been the content lead at Medium for Self and has been at Medium since September 2018.
She previously was an associate editor at New York Magazine for science coverage and an assistant editor at The Atlantic for health coverage.
Nazeer is a Northwestern University and Columbia University graduate.
Charter was started by former Quartz editor in chief Kevin Delaney and publisher Jay Lauf, as well as Erin Grau, who is the chief operating officer. Prior to Charter, Grau was the first vice president of transformation at The New York Times.
Charter currently has an email newsletter and a content sharing agreement with Time magazine.
