Katherine Peralta, a business reporter for the Charlotte Observer, has left the paper for a job at the Charlotte Agenda.
She will start at the Agenda on July 29.
Peralta had been with the Observer since January 2015, covering retail and also working as an early-morning online reporter.
On the retail beat, she covered the Fortune 500 retailers based in the Charlotte area, including Lowe’s Home Improvement and Family Dollar, as well as covering shopping trends and taking over the Observer’s highly popular retail blog.
Peralta, who has family in Charlotte, has a master’s from the Medill School at Northwestern University.
The Agenda, which started in 2015, covers careers, things to do, real estate, travel, startups, food+drink, philanthropy, development and children.
