Charlotte Business Journal president and publisher Kevin Pitts has been named to the same positions at the Denver Business Journal, reports Jen Wilson of the Charlotte paper.
Wilson writes, “Pitts succeeds Pete Casillas, who was recently promoted to vice president/local markets by ACBJ and will oversee a number of local business journals.
“Pitts joined ACBJ in 2000 as ad director at the Philadelphia Business Journal and was promoted to publisher of the East Bay Business Times in 2003. He held that position for two-and-a-half years before moving back to Philadelphia as vice president for advertising and circulation.
“Pitts has been CBJ‘s publisher since 2009. An active member of Charlotte’s business and civic community, Pitts is a board member of United Way of Central Carolinas, Junior Achievement of Central Carolinas and the Charlotte Regional Partnership. He will remain at CBJ through mid-November.”
