Changes to weekend Orlando Sentinel biz coverage

The Orlando Sentinel is making several changes to its weekend business coverage, including moving its standalone tech section into the Sunday business section.

Tech Support, which debuted in the paper more than a year ago, will now “move to a Sunday section called Tech & Money. Etan Horowitz‘s coverage of personal technology will be part of our strong lineup of stories and columns geared to helping you manage your money and get the most out of the things you buy,” according to this short item.

In addition, Sentinel automotive editor Steven Cole Smith‘s column in the Ride section on Saturdays is also moving to the Sunday business section, according to an announcement at the end of his column today.

  • The Orlando Sentinel is changing a lot more than that, its entire paper is being overhauled. The Money section is lucky it was only merged with the Tech section, some of the other section have not fared too well. On Mondays, Local & State is hidden in Section A. Entertainment got glued to whatever section they decide to color code blue. The Front Page looks like Parade magazine.

In fact there's an Orlando blog that has a little more say about the Sentinel's 'format' changes here: http://amazingshrinkingsentinel.blogspot.com/
