Brian Kaberline, the editor of the Kansas City Business Journal, writes Monday about changes to its reporting lineup.
Kaberline writes, “I’m proud to tell you about some important changes in the Kansas City Business Journal newsroom lineup:
“Essentially, Krista trades one big beat for a job in which she has to have a handle on every beat. You can help her out by sending any ideas you have for our In Depth sections to kklaus@bizjournals.com or following her on Twitter, @kristabizkc.
“• Steve Vockrodt is taking on the real estate beat. It’s not much of a stretch for Steve, who already had been contributing some great stories on development incentives, the fate of the West Edge project and Polsinelli Shughart’s marathon headquarters-selection process.
“That said, Steve would love to hear about companies taking new space, plans for developing or redeveloping area commercial projects and personnel moves in the broker community. You can reach Steve at svockrodt@bizjournals.com and follow him on Twitter, @st_vockrodt.
“• Of course, Steve’s move means we need someone to cover legal issues as well as the advertising and marketing industries. Enter Paul Koepp.
“Paul is relatively new to Kansas City, most recently working for the Deseret News in Salt Lake City, Utah. But even Paul isn’t a complete stranger. He’s had a handful of stories in the Business Journal’s In Depth sections during the past few weeks, working as a freelancer.”
