Bloomberg Businessweek editor Joel Weber and Bloomberg’s Brad Stone sent out the following announcement on Monday:
Colleagues,
Since joining Bloomberg in 2015, few writers have been more prolific in the pages of Businessweek than Max Chafkin. Whether he’s spending time in subterranean muck with Elon Musk, transforming into an Instagram influencer, or collaborating with colleagues on any number of fantastic tech stories on tight deadlines, Max has proved to be an incredible asset here. So it’s a great privilege to announce a new chapter in Max’s career at Bloomberg: Beginning today, he’ll join Businessweek as a features editor reporting to Jim Aley.
In this new capacity, Max will be responsible for conceiving, assigning, shepherding, and editing great magazine features, some of which will no doubt continue to be in partnership with our fabulous Technology team. Of course, we also expect someone as talented as Max will still make time to report and write — and team up on major features with colleagues, particularly those on the Tech team. Please join us in congratulating Max and wishing him well in his new role!Sincerely,Joel Weber and Brad Stone
