Joel Berg has been editor of the Central Penn Business Journal since May 2015 and is now overseeing Lehigh Valley Business as well. Before that, he taught writing at Gettysburg College, where he also advised the student newspaper and York College of Pennsylvania.
Berg was a staff writer at the Business Journal from 1999 to 2004. In between that stint and becoming editor, he was a freelancer and was published in places such as the Philadelphia Inquirer, Harrisburg Patriot-News, Reading Eagle, York Daily Record, Northeast Pennsylvania Business Journal, NJBIZ, Lehigh Valley Business, Risk & Insurance and American Banker.
Cathy Hirko is now managing editor of both papers. She has been managing editor of the Central Penn paper since February 2016.
Before that, Hirko was news director of The Evening Sun in Hanover, Pennsylvania. She was also business editor of the York Daily Record.
Both papers are owned by GateHouse Media. Bill Kline had been editor of Lehigh Valley Business since January 2013.
