CBS Moneywatch has hired Khristopher Brooks, a reporter at Newsday.
Brooks, who had been covering town government for Newsday, will cover economic disparities for the personal finance website.
“It’s a new beat, and I’m eager about the challenge of developing this thing from scratch,” wrote Brooks in a Twitter post.
Brooks previously covered innovation and entrepreneurship for the Democrat and Chronicle in Rochester, New York. He has also worked for the Florida Times-Union in Jacksonville, the Omaha World-Herald and the Bristol Herald-Courier in Virginia.
