Fox Business Network managing editor Neil Cavuto posted record weekly ratings for his midday show “Cavuto: Coast to Coast” in his first week back from heart surgery, reports Brian Flood of The Wrap.
Flood writes, “Cavuto picked up his highest-rated week ever for ‘Cavuto: Coast to Coast,’ averaging 170,000 viewers and 21,000 viewers in the key demo of adults age 25-54, up double digits in both categories.
“Cavuto’s return marked the show’s first ever weekly win over CNBC in total viewers, beating ‘Fast Money Halftime Report’ from 12-1 p.m. ET. The show averaged 181,000 viewers compared to 178,000 for CNBC.
“‘I wouldn’t wish what I’ve been through on anyone, even CNBC,’ Cavuto joked about his former employer and FBN’s rival network during his first day back on air since May 31.
“His first day back on television was also his first day back at the network, where he also serves as a managing editor.”
