Simon Casey has been named the leader of Bloomberg’s energy coverage in the Americas.
He has been the agricultural team leader. James Attwood, who had been leading metals and mining coverage, is taking over the agriculture team.
Casey had been leading agriculture coverage since June 2015. Before that, he spent five years overseeing commodities coverage, including mining, metals, chemicals, agriculture and fertilizers. Some of the companies included Alcoa, Archer-Daniels-Midland, Barrick Gold and Cargill.
Before that, he oversaw commodities covering in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He joined Bloomberg in 2003 as a commodities reporter.
Casey spent four years as an online editor and deputy editor of Metal Bulletin.
