Call hired as D CEO managing editor

Brandon Call

Brandon J. Call has been hired as managing editor of D CEO magazine.

Editor Christine Perez writes, “Call previously served as data editor for the Dallas Business Journal and research director for Albuquerque Business First. He also worked as a real estate writer for RealPage Inc. in Dallas and as a website manager for ABQtodo.com and project manager for Access Innovations Inc. in Albuquerque. Prior to that, he held various editorial posts at Albuquerque The Magazine and New Mexico Magazine.

“A graduate of The University of New Mexico, where he earned a degree in communications and journalism, Call has written for a variety of business and lifestyle publications. His work has been honored by the International Regional Magazine Association and Society of Professional Journalists.

“Call is a native of Las Cruces, N.M., and a member of the Dallas Leadership Arts Institute’s Class of 2019. His interests include art, tennis, travel, and his rescue dog, Lambert.”

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
