Jana Adkins, the business editor of the Santa Clarita Valley Signal in California, has been promoted to managing editor of the paper.
Matt Thacker of the paper writes, “Paul Parcellin, who has been a freelance reporter for the Business Journal the last three months, was hired as the new business editor. He will oversee The Signal’s business page and, under the direction of Adkins, the Santa Clarita Valley Business Journal.
“Parcellin is a Santa Clarita resident with three decades of experience in the news industry, including various positions at daily newspapers. He served as deputy editor for PC Week magazine in the late 1990s as the technology sector was booming.
“‘Paul is a skilled writer with an easy-going style when working with his interview subjects. A perfect fit for the local business community,’ Adkins said. ‘We look forward to the fresh ideas he’s bringing to the newspaper and SCV Business Journal pages.'”
