The Palm Springs Desert Sun in California says it will triple the space devoted to stock listings by introducing the Associated Press’ “Money & Markets” page this week.
Business editor Kakie Urch wrote, “At a time when Wall Street’s volatility has dominated headlines and conversations in the valley, The Desert Sun has decided to triple the amount of space it devotes in the Business section to the markets.
“On Tuesday, your Desert Sun Business section will include one-and-a-half pages of expanded stocks and markets coverage.
“I’ve talked to many of you personally about what you want in markets coverage, and we think that the expanded offerings in the daily newspaper will fit the bill.
“We’ve worked with The Associated Press to compile a Money & Markets report both in The Desert Sun and on thedesertsun.com that includes daily information for investors, whether they watch stocks, mutual funds, foreign stock exchanges, foreign currency exchanges or interest rates and Treasuries.”
