BuzzFeed’s Anand hired by The Information to cover Amazon

Priya Anand, who covers tech transportation for BuzzFeed, has been hired by The Information to cover Amazon.com.

Anand had been covering Uber, Lyft and Tesla for BuzzFeed.

Anand had joined BuzzFeed in April 2016 from MarketWatch.com, where she was a consumer fraud & cybersecurity reporter. While there she had scoops on the rising number of extortion threats New York financial firms were facing, how the Scottrade breach included brokerage account numbers and that the SEC plans to sanction firms for lax security even if there’s no evidence of a breach.

Anand is a George Washington University graduate.
