Bustle Digital Group acquires Inverse

Bustle Digital Group has acquired the science and technology publication Inverse, known as a “geek culture” publication.

Inverse was founded by Dave Nemetz, who also co-founded Bleacher Report with Bryan Goldberg. Nemetz will stay on to oversee the publication “on the business side.”

Bustle Digital Group has acquired two other publications this year, Nylon and The Outline. The publication will be part of several brands overseen by Joshua Topolsky, who previously owned The Outline before it was acquired by Bustle Digital Group.

Five staffers were cut from the publication, as well.
