BusinessWeek redesigns personal business section

January 16, 2009

BusinessWeek announced Thursday the launch of a redesigned and enhanced personal business section in print and online.

The new print section, appearing in the Jan. 26/Feb. 2 double issue, and the expanded online personal business channel will now provide insights that benefit readers not only as business leaders but as managers of their personal finances.

In BusinessWeek’s new Personal Business section, readers will find:

1. Money Report, a smart digest of the week’s most important and intriguing developments that can influence readers’ personal finance decisions;

2. How to Play It, a deeper look into business trends and insights explored elsewhere in the magazine to shed light on  their investing implications;

3. Life Management, an intelligent, useful guide to such issues as retirement, insurance, tax planning, compensation, and more;

4. Investing, an in-depth look at techniques and topics delivering timely insights sophisticated investors can use to build and maintain wealth; and

5. Inside Wall Street, the market-moving analysis of specific companies from the unique view-point of veteran columnist Gene G. Marcial.

“In these difficult economic times, we wanted to serve business leaders even better by providing them with an expanded personal finance section that offers insightful, relevant, and smart advice,â€? said Editor-in-Chief Stephen J. Adler in a statement. “This is a natural extension of what we already do: offer timely access to information and ideas that readers need to make smarter decisions and move their businesses, careers, and investments forward.â€?Â
