Howard Manus has joined CNNMoney.com as vice president of marketing and operations, based in New York. Manus will be primarily responsible for overseeing sales development and ad operations, including trafficking, campaign- and inventory-management.
“Howard has a very deep print and online sales, marketing and operations background. We’re thrilled to have someone of Howard’s caliber and experience at CNNMoney.com. He joins a team of some of the best Internet talent in the business,” said Vivek Shah, president of digital publishing for Time Inc.
Manus had been with BusinessWeek for over 13 years, most recently as its web site’s vice president of operations. Prior to that, Howard was an online sales director and the director of technology sales for BusinessWeek magazine, where he co-developed and helped launch e.biz. He was also a group manager in the marketing department at the magazine. Howard began his media career at Branham Newspapers and then had stints at The National Sports Daily and Newsweek.
Manus holds an MBA in Marketing from New York University’s Stern School of Business and received his Bachelor of Arts from Franklin & Marshall College.
