BusinessDesk.com appoints new editor

Sam Metcalf

Sam Metcalf, who edits the East Midlands site will now also be covering the West Midlands as its Midlands editor for BusinessDesk.com.

Metcalf will be joined by Ian Evans, business journalist, who will also be covering the East Midlands.

Metcalf joined BusinessDesk.com in 2016. Prior to this, he edited for competitor publication, East Midlands Business Link of Midlands Business Insider.

Metcalf said, “Over the past year we have introduced the Leadership Awards in both the East and West Midlands and the Business Masters in the East. The events, along with our regular lunch events are engaging the business community across the entire region and we look forward to further increase this over the coming months.”

Alex Turner, joint managing director further commented, “Sam has been the driving force behind the establishment and continued growth of our East Midlands region. His knowledge of the region’s business issues and network of leading business figures will help us continue to develop our coverage and grow our audience.”
