Business Insider hires Zeballos-Roig as policy reporter

Joseph Zeballos-Roig will be joining Business Insider as the organization’s newest policy reporter.

There, he will be covering economics with a focus on taxes and federal spending among other things. He will also be overseeing policy ideas driving the 2020 elections.

Previously, Zeballos-Roig was working freelance and before that he was serving as production intern at WNYC Radio. He also held the post of reporting intern at CBS News. Joseph was also employed as deputy editor and reporter at New York Transatlantic and The New York Times, respectively.

Additionally, he was senior staff writer at Gannett, USA Today network along with having editorial, writing and teaching experience as well.

Zeballos-Roig holds a bachelor’s degree in international affairs and media/communication studies from Florida State University and a master’s degree in journalism and European studies from New York University.
