Damon Cline, the business editor of the Augusta Chronicle from 2000 to 2008, has returned to the paper as an editorial writer.
An editor’s note on the paper’s website states, “His duties will include writing editorials and assisting the staff with production of the daily Opinion section.
“He previously served the Chronicle as a business reporter from 1998 to 2000, and as business editor from 2000 to 2008. Cline, an Augusta resident since 1997, has also been employed in communications, public relations and production positions at Georgia Regents University, Southern Co. and John Deere Commercial Products.
“‘I’m excited to be back at The Chronicle,’ he said. ‘It almost feels like I never left.’
“Cline earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Northern Arizona University.”
