Business editor adds features desk

Sherri Richards, the business editor at the Fargo Forum in North Dakota, is adding the features desk to her responsibilities.

The features editor, Heidi Shaffer, is becoming the paper’s deputy editor.

A story on the Forum website states, “Richards, 34, was named business editor last year. The Hope, N.D., native started at The Forum in 2002. The University of North Dakota graduate was a features reporter, news reporter and columnist before being named business editor. In her new role, she’ll continue to oversee business, and also lead features, which consists of the Variety, SheSays and Farmers’ Forum sections.

“‘Sherri, too, brings a variety of great background to the dual role of features/business editor,’ said Von Pinnon. ‘She has proven herself with great reporting instincts and excellent organizational skills, and comes up with great story ideas at every turn.'”
