Former Wall Street Journal reporter Todd Buell has been hired by MLex to cover the European Union in Brussels.
Buell will focus mainly on tax policy as a senior correspondent.
Buell previously wrote about the European Central Bank and the eurozone economy from The Journal’s Frankfurt bureau. His coverage area included monetary policy, economic indicators, and general economic stories.
He contributed to the MoneyBeat and Real Time Economics blogs and also occasionally to Speakeasy.
He also worked two years for Market News International writing about economic and monetary policy.
Buell graduated from Bowdoin College in Maine and has a master’s degree from the UNC-Chapel Hill’s Transatlantic Masters Program.
