Boston Herald biz editor leaving

Boston Herald business editor and columnist Cosmo Macero Jr. said he is leaving the paper next month to work as a vice president in the communications group at O’Neill and Associates, a Boston public relations and government affairs firm, according to the Boston Globe.

Macero took over as business editor in 2004 and has worked at the paper for nine years, including serving as the State House bureau chief, the Globe reported. Deputy business editor Greg Gatlin will run the department if a successor has not been named by the time Macero leaves.
