BostInno Associate Editor Rowan Walrath has joined the Boston Business Journal, taking over the life sciences beat, covering biotech, pharmaceuticals and medical devices.
Business Journal executive editor Doug Banks writes, “Walrath is transitioning from her former role as associate editor of BostInno and Rhode Island Inno, where she oversaw coverage of the Boston and Rhode Island innovation scenes. The Business Journal is now actively seeking to fill that position.
“Walrath joined BostInno in 2019. She was previously a freelance journalist based in San Francisco, where she reported and fact-checked for Wired, Eater and HuffPost, among other publications. Prior to that, she completed a yearlong editorial fellowship at Mother Jones.
“The life sciences and medical device industries were most recently covered by Allison DeAngelis, who has left the Business Journal for another opportunity.”
