Wall Street Journal managing editor Robert Thomson sent out the following announcement to the paper’s staff Tuesday afternoon:
“Before moving to China in 2005, Rebecca ran the paper’s New York Technology Group, overseeing coverage of upheaval in the telecommunications industry. She has worked for the Journal since 1995, when she joined as a reporter in the Detroit Bureau. Rebecca will report to Alan Murray and will take up her new position later in the summer. You can articulate your congratulations digitally by tweeting Rebecca or even by talking to her.”
