Rabil became a mergers and acquisitions editor for Bloomberg News in 2011, working with three reporters on a new M&A column.
Before that, Rabil covered the media conglomerates — Time Warner Inc., News Corp., Viacom Inc. and CBS Corp. — as well as cable TV and AOL. Before that, she covered the newspaper industry for the media team. She previously did stints covering the stock market, corporate bond market and other media companies.
In an email to Talking Biz News, Rabil wrote:
Bloomberg gave me the opportunity to try so many things — reporting and editing on everything from media to deals to telecom over the years. I’ll always be grateful. I had amazing colleagues there, and I can’t wait to see what they accomplish under new leadership. At the Journal, I’m really excited for the opportunity to focus in on media and advertising at a time when the industry is changing more rapidly than ever. I can’t wait to get started working with Amol Sharma and his talented team
