R.T. Watson has been hired by The Wall Street Journal as an entertainment reporter based in Los Angeles.
Watson previously worked for Bloomberg News in Rio de Janeiro where he covered primarily commodities since February 2016.
Joining WSJ’s Hollywood beat represents somewhat of a homecoming, as Watson started his journalism career in Los Angeles with the Hollywood Reporter and Reuters before moving to South America ahead of the 2014 World Cup.
While in Brazil for Reuters, he also produced, shot, wrote and edited video news content.
He holds a bachelor’s degree from UCLA.
