Bloomberg’s VerHage hired by Fintech Today to run newsletter

Julie VerHage

Former Bloomberg News reporter Julie VerHage has been hired to run FTT+, a weekly premium newsletter under Fintech Today.

VerHage, who left Bloomberg earlier this month, had been covering the intersection of finance and technology.

Ian Kar of Fintech Today writes, “I’ve admired her work for years and I’m both equally thrilled and honored she’s bringing her talents to Fintech Today. One of my favorite stories that, in my opinion, exemplifies Julie’s deep knowledge of the fintech space and her talent as a reporter was her piece on Robinhood’s cash management program when it first launched.”

VerHage joined Bloomberg in 2015 as a markets reporter. Before that, she was an associate producer at Fox Business Network, as Charlie Gasparino‘s producer where she wrote about topics that ranged from Wall Street to Silicon Valley. She appeared on “Your World with Neil Cavuto” as well as “Money with Melissa Francis,” “Happy Hour,” and “Countdown to the Closing Bell.”

She earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Michigan State University.
