Saitto, former Bloomberg reporter, joining The Information

Serena Saitto

The Information editor in chief Jessica Lessin and managing editor Martin Peers sent out the following announcement:

We are excited to share that Serena Saitto will be joining us in San Francisco as a reporter covering the intersection between Wall Street and Silicon Valley, reporting to Martin.

Serena was a rockstar Bloomberg M&A reporter, turned chronicler of deals and venture capital, and is uniquely positioned to help us write more must-read stories about how money is moving around the private and public tech markets and the people pulling the strings.

Alfred, Reed and our entire reporting team have turned coverage of the almost public tech giants into one of our biggest franchises already. With Serena, we hope that we can turbocharge it even more to make The Information a must-read on Wall Street. To do this, we want to both break more funding deals and IPO-related developments as well as focus on the big behind the scenes stories pertaining to the relationships between Silicon Valley and Wall Street.

Serena will be in NY for a month as she finds a place out in SF, so the team there will get to know her too.

Please join us in welcoming her. She starts on May 22, the day Wendy Pollock joins us as well!
