Bloomberg’s Rubin leaving for WSJ

Richard Rubin of Bloomberg News has resigned to accept a position at The Wall Street Journal, where he will cover tax policy.

Rubin has been at Bloomberg for nearly five years, working tax issues on Capitol Hill.

Before that, Rubin was a tax policy reporter for Congressional Quarterly from March 2007 to October 2010. Before that, he spent six years as a reporter for the Charlotte Observer.

Rubin, a native of New Jersey, has a degree in political science from Duke University.

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
