Bloomberg leveraged finance writer McGavin set to depart

Ruth McGavin

Ruth McGavin, who wrote about leveraged finance trends for Bloomberg First Word, will be leaving to join Fitch’s CapitalStructure, helping develop a leveraged finance product in Europe.

Her new role begins in September.

Previously, as part of Leveraged Commentary & Data’s research team, McGavin wrote about trends in the leveraged finance market and also worked on the news team. She was with the company for over 11 years.

She has also covered the leveraged loan news beat and the secondary loan trading market for Reuters.

McGavin is a graduate of the University of Cambridge.
