Bloomberg’s LA bureau chief Palazzo headed to London

Bloomberg’s Kenneth Wong, its EMEA telecoms, media and tech editor, sent out the following staff change on Tuesday:

Team, there is no better way to end the week than some great people news. I am thrilled to announce that in the New Year, Tony Palazzo will move from Los Angeles to London to helm our EMEA telecoms and media coverage.

Tony is currently LA bureau chief and team leader for U.S. entertainment, in charge of anything from films to video games and casinos to amusement parks. Before joining Bloomberg in 2005, he worked at the Los Angeles Business Journal as managing editor and for Business.com.

He has a bachelor’s degree in Latin American studies from the University of California at Berkeley and a master’s in journalism from Columbia University. A native of the San Gabriel Valley, he lives in Pasadena and enjoys cycling.

Please join me in congratulating Tony on his new role. We’ll plan to hold a call with the Europe group Monday afternoon local time. Thanks!
