Bloomberg's LA bureau chief leaves for Television Week

Greg Baumann has been named editor of Television Week, published by Crain Communications Inc. For the past eight years, Baumann has been L.A. bureau chief for Bloomberg. He has also worked as the legal editor for the Daily Record in Baltimore and the assistant managing editor for Legal Times in Washington, D.C. He starts his new position March 6.

Baumann, who is on the board of the Los Angeles Press Club, was also an editor on the technology team at Bloomberg News. He has also been an editor covering legal issues at Bloomberg in the San Francisco and Washington bureaus. He has a law degree from George Washington University.

I note on the press club web site that his affiliation has already been changed to his new employer.

  • By the way, this is the second major bureau chief to depart Bloomberg in the past couple weeks. Boston's Christine Dunn quit a few weeks back.
