Bloomberg senior editor Joachim moves to Americas news desk

David Joachim

Bloomberg News senior editor David Joachim has become a senior editor on the Americas desk.

He is a member of the Top team, which runs Top News on the Bloomberg terminal and the home page on Bloomberg’s digital platforms.

Joachim previously was senior editor on the investigations team at Bloomberg dating back to March 2016, when he joined the news organization.

He spent more than 10 years at The New York Times as an assistant business editor and as an assistant Washington editor. He also worked at Network Computing magazine.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
