Bloomberg’s Florida correspondent moves to DC

Toluse Olorinnipa, the Florida correspondent for Bloomberg News for the past two years, has moved to its Washington, DC bureau.

In Washington, Olorinnipa will be doing some political coverage, but might cover other stories as well.

He has spent the past two years covering business, politics and breaking news for Bloomberg in Florida.

Before that, Olorinnipa was with the Miami Herald for four years, writing post-recession coverage of the economy, real estate and financial news in South Florida and Latin America. He also covered state politics, the Legislature and the Governor’s Office for the Miami Herald/Tampa Bay Times Tallahassee bureau.

He has also worked as a multimedia producer for The Wall Street Journal.

Olorinnipa has a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree from Stanford University.
