Margaret Conley, formerly a Tokyo correspondent for U.S.-based ABC News, has joined Bloomberg Television as a reporter based out of the company’s new Shanghai bureau.
Prior to joining Bloomberg in September 2010, Conley served as a reporter for ABC News in Tokyo, appearing across ABC News’ broadcast, radio and digital media platforms. Conley also reported for ABC News from Indonesia, contributing to the networks’ 2008 election coverage and 2009 Emmy Award-winning inauguration coverage from President Obama’s childhood hometown of Jakarta.
Conley has a bachelor’s degree in political science/international relations from Columbia University, where she also received a Gold King’s Crown Award. She earned a master’s degree from the Journalism Media Studies Centre at the University of Hong Kong, which specializes in covering Asia.
