Joe Pompeo of The Business Insider reports that Bloomberg Television has hired another on-air talent.
Pompeo writes, “Lisa Murphy, who joins the network from New York’s Fox 5, where she covered business and consumer news. Today was her first day on the air as an anchor.
“Prior to her journalism career, Murphy spent 15 years on Wall Street, with stints at Citigroup and JP Morgan Chase.
“Murphy is the second new female anchor to join BloombergTV in the past month. The network recently nabbed Emily Chang from CNN as a tech reporter covering Silicon Valley out of San Francisco.”

According to her Fox 5 bio, Murphy returned to school and in 1999 received her MBA from Columbia Business School. Upon graduation, she began working for JP Morgan where she spent time in credit derivatives and private banking.
Murphy also worked as chief of staff to the CEO of Citigroup’s Global Wealth Management. The role allowed for an up-close perspective on the challenges of running one of the largest global banks in the world.
