Bloomberg TV hires Chatterley to be co-anchor

Julia Chatterley has been hired by Bloomberg Television to co-anchor and report for “Bloomberg Markets” and “What’d You Miss?”

Chatterley joins Bloomberg from CNBC Europe where she covered global markets and breaking business news.

At CNBC, Chatterley covered regular Eurogroup and EU leaders summits in Brussels. She also covered the Greek and Italian elections and Cypriot bailout. Chatterley has interviewed European heads of state and finance ministers and often reports on key corporate earnings.

Chatterley also co-anchored “Capital Connection” and “European Closing Bell” and hosted special programs, including an in-depth interview with Italian political activist Beppe Grillo. She was also a regular contributor to CNBC programming in the United States.

Chatterley joined CNBC as a producer in 2010. Prior to that she worked with macro hedge funds at Morgan Stanley London where she was also a Bloomberg customer.

She is a graduate of The London School of Economics where she earned a BSc in economics with first class honors.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.

  • Julia Chatterly has ruined "What's You Miss". The program is now completely unwatchable and the level of commentary has fallen considerably.

    • you must be jealous GAI,julia is insightful,experienced ,intelligent and a great addition.i truly appreciate her talent

    • Chatterly is pretty, however I personally don't like Chatterly's strong accent when she speaks English. I find Scarlette speaks much more smoothly then Chatterly.

      • It depends where you speak from Amanda H. I personnaly understand better Julia's speaking about business than any other american presenter. :-) She makes business an interesting event on Sat TV.
