Bloomberg Tax hires Rapoport as senior reporter

Bloomberg Tax has hired Michael Rapoport as a senior reporter covering international tax issues.

Rapoport previously worked at The Wall Street Journal covering accounting before leaving in 2019.

Rapoport had been at the Journal since 2010, and at Dow Jones in general since 1993. He wrote about a wide variety of issues related to accounting, including the accounting industry, accounting and auditing rules and regulation, and accounting fraud.

Before coming to the Journal, he wrote the “In the Money” column for Dow Jones Newswires, focusing on delving beneath the surface of financial statements and market developments to explore companies’ true financial condition.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
