Bloomberg Radio and Television global head Al Mayers sent out the following to the staff on Thursday:

Colleagues,

In the midst of these uncertain times, what has become clearer than ever is the value of working together and how well our team excels at it. Our reliance on one another to navigate the uncharted waters of this pandemic has redefined the power of teamwork and the power of One Bloomberg.

Everyday our viewers and listeners are able to tune in and receive the key information they need because of our ability to come together and harness this power. And now our audience will see even more with the debut of a two-hour simulcast of “Bloomberg Surveillance” on Bloomberg Television. On Tuesday, May 26, “Surveillance: will become simulcasting on Bloomberg TV and Radio from 7-9 AM/EST, anchored by Tom Keene, Jon Ferro and Lisa Abramowicz.

The two-hour expansion of “Bloomberg Surveillance” to Bloomberg Television’s global audience capitalizes on the program’s success in providing the local markets of Boston, San Francisco, New York, and Washington D.C. the latest in finance, economics and investments. Listeners and viewers around the world will receive key information on the world economics and hear from leading voices shaping the conversations around global markets, including: business leaders, analysts and strategists.

Over the next few weeks, Alix Steel will move to co-anchor “Bloomberg Markets: America” from 10am-11am and “Bloomberg Markets: European Close” from 11am-12pm with Guy Johnson. Vonnie Quinn will move from co-anchoring “markets” on TV to co-anchoring “Markets” on radio from 10am-12pm with Paul Sweeney, and will also anchor the 1-2pm “Bloomberg Markets: America” hour on Bloomberg Television.

Congratulations to the “Surveillance” team on this expansion, to Alix and Vonnie on their moves, and to everyone in TV and Radio, as we provide our audience the best possible product.

Most importantly, thank you all for the hard work you continue to do every day during these trying times. This team has been exceptional. Please continue to take care of yourselves, your loved ones, and one another.
