James Thornhill, who covers metals and mining and is Sydney deputy bureau chief, is leaving Bloomberg News after eight years.
He also covered energy policy, climate change, oil and gas, liquid natural gas, renewables, battery storage and anything else related to Australia’s energy sector.
Before joining Bloomberg, Thornhill was EMEA editor of CitiFX Wire, a scrolling news service provided to Citi’s foreign exchange clients across the globe.
He also worked at Reuters.
Thornhill is a graduate of University of Hull and has a master’s degree from Cambridge University.
