Emma Ockerman, a reporter at Bloomberg News who left earlier this month, has joined Vice News.
Her first day was Monday, and she is a general assignment reporter. Vice News promotes itself as covering under-reported news stories.
At Bloomberg, Ockerman covered U.S. equities for the First Word team and health care and insurance markets for the health team. She also compiled data for special projects and reported on foreign exchange and rates.
She previously interned on the power and gas team.
Ockerman, an Ohio University graduate, also interned for the Detroit Free-Press and the Washington Post. She was also editor in chief of the Athens Post.
