Matt Leising, a reporter at Bloomberg News in New York for more than a decade, is moving to the organization’s Los Angeles bureau.
The move is part of Bloomberg’s expansion of its West Coast operations.
Leising will continue to cover market structure and how blockchain and distributed ledger technology may be applied to finance. He also covers developments and regulatory matters in the derivatives and fixed-income markets.
He came to Bloomberg after three years at the Montclarion newspaper in Oakland, California, and has also written for the Financial Times and the Village Voice among other publications.
The native of Los Angeles has a B.S. degree in biopsychology from University of California Santa Barbara and a master’s degree in journalism from University of California at Berkeley.
