Bloomberg News reporter Sarah Frier has signed a contract to write a book about Instagram for Portfolio, a Penguin imprint.
The book will cover everything from its founding to the present — the two co-founders left the company last week.
The tentative title is “No Filter.”
Frier is based in San Francisco and focuses a lot of her coverage on Facebook — Instagram’s parent company — and Snapchat. She has been at Bloomberg since June 2011.
Portfolio was also the publisher of “Brotopia” and “Hatching Twitter,” two other books that examined Silicon Valley.
