Bloomberg Radio suspends Di Caro after allegations

Martin Di Caro

Bloomberg Radio has suspended contractor Martin Di Caro, who joined in 2018, after multiple women accused him of harassment on Twitter on Wednesday.

A Bloomberg spokeswoman stated, “In light of the recent allegations, we’ve decided to suspend the contractor pending a further investigation.”

There have been no complaints internally about Di Caro at Bloomberg.

Di Caro was WAMU’s transportation reporter from February 2012 to January 2018. He covered local and regional issues challenging the residents of the heavily congested, transit-friendly Washington metropolitan area. Di Caro focused on how transportation, land use, and public policy converge to shape the face of the region and the lives of its traffic-weary residents.

Before coming to Washington, Di Caro worked at some of the most popular radio stations in the country’s largest media markets. As a general assignment reporter at New Jersey 101.5 FM he won a regional Edward R. Murrow Award for Best New Series after reporting on the severe illnesses suffered by 9/11 rescue and recovery workers.

Di Caro has also worked for the Associated Press Radio Network in D.C. and New York.
