Bloomberg Radio producer and reporter Reenita Malhotra Hora has joined Otto Radio as its vice president of programming and audience development.

Hora had been working for Bloomberg Radio in its San Francisco office as an on-air news reporter, writer and producer. She was also working on the “Daybreak Asia” program.

Prior to Bloomberg, Hora anchored and produced “Money for Nothing” on RTHK Radio 3, Hong Kong’s public radio station.  Her weekly show, “Asian Threads,” won a gold award at the New York Festivals’ International Radio Programming awards.

“I’m excited to combine my passions for media and technology with a fast-growing consumer platform like Otto Radio,” said Hora in a statement.  “We look forward to building out the premium audio content category with differentiated experiences and partnering with top-tier publishers that improve how listeners everywhere discover and enjoy new content.”

In her 24-year career, Hora has worked as a multimedia editor for Reuters Insider, a TV writer for Cartoon Network Asia and has contributed to publications such as the Wall Street Journal, The New York Times and the South China Morning Post.

She founded, built and subsequently sold an Ayurvedic wellness company called Ayoma. And she has written seven books, both fiction (young adult) and non-fiction (Ayurveda and finance).
