Bloomberg News taps two reporters for 2020 campaign team

Bloomberg News has hired Tyler Pager and appointed Misyrlena Egkolfopoulou to its 2020 campaign team.

Egkolfopoulou has been covering real estate in New York. She previously worked on the corporate finance team and also covered the trial of Martin Shkreli. Before Bloomberg, she spent two years as a television reporter in Greece.

She is a graduate of Syracuse University and Cal-Berkeley.

Pager is a James Reston Reporting Fellow at The New York Times. He graduated with distinction from the University of Oxford, where he earned a master’s degree in comparative social policy.

He was the winner of Nick Kristof’s 2018 win-a-trip and traveled with Kristof to the Central African Republic and reported for The Times.

He graduated as the valedictorian and summa cum laude from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University in 2017.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
