Bloomberg News taps Alexander as editor, agriculture and metals team

Doug Alexander

After spending 14 years covering the Canadian financial services sector for Bloomberg News, Doug Alexander will now be joining the company’s agriculture and metals team in Toronto as an editor in September.

Prior to joining Bloomberg, Alexander was a reporter at The Vancouver Sun working on the business and city desks, and as a copy editor as well. He has also served as sub-editor at The Independent working on the syndication desk editing domestic and foreign copy among other tasks.

Additionally, Alexander has also worked as correspondent/sub-editor at Gemini News Service and was also a reporter at The Surrey Now, Whistler Question and Revelstoke Times-Review.

Alexander is a B.A. in international relations from the University of British Columbia.
