Bloomberg News has hired Jill Shah as a reporter.
She will start later this month and go through its rotation program on several different desks before a beat is determined.
Shah is a former 2020 features intern at the Los Angeles Times. She was the inaugural Jack Rosenthal Scholar at the CUNY Newmark School of Journalism in New York City.
She moved to the United States when she was 9 from Mumbai, India. In addition to English, she speaks Gujarati, and speaks, reads and writes Hindi fluently. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in cultural anthropology with honors from Northwestern University.
Before becoming a journalist, she worked for six years in technology, international development and global health.
